For many Education Advocates, the Arts are a Panacea because ART makes you Smart
Art makes you smart because it:
- increases test scores,
- generates social responsibility and
- can turn around failing schools.
ART makes you Smart
Till recently most of the supporting evidence, did little more than establish correlations between exposure to the arts and certain outcomes rather than suggest that art has anything to do with our smartness, and research that demonstrates a causal relationship has been virtually nonexistent. But now Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, has provided evidence to support the theory.
